You will delve into the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Bhagavad Gita, and other sacred texts, and understand how their timeless wisdom can illuminate your path toward self-realization. Philosophy is the GPS of yoga, guiding you toward inner peace, contentment, and deeper insights into the nature of reality. Teaching Methodology Becoming a great teacher goes beyond knowing how to demonstrate postures. This module will refine your teaching skills, focusing on the art of communication, building rapport, and creating a nurturing, safe environment for your students. You will learn the essentials of class design, time management, effective verbal cues, and hands-on adjustments. Daily practice teaching and feedback sessions will help you develop your own unique teaching voice. Ashtanga Yoga In this course, we’ll guide you through the Intermediate Series of Ashtanga Yoga, an invigorating practice designed to purify the body and mind. You will learn how to incorporate bandhas (energy locks), drishti (gaze), and correct alignment into your practice. This ancient system is rigorous and highly transformative, and our experienced teachers will ensure you understand its true essence and application in your practice and teaching. Hatha Yoga Hatha Yoga is the root of all modern yoga practices, and a solid understanding of it is essential for anyone who wants to deepen their yoga journey. The term "Hatha" comes from "Ha" (sun) and "Tha" (moon), symbolizing balance and harmony. In this module, we’ll explore how Hatha Yoga postures (asanas) prepare the body to hold stillness, bringing harmony between body and mind. You'll learn the deeper metaphysical meaning behind each posture and gain a greater understanding of prana (life force energy). Pranayama (Breathing Techniques) The breath is the bridge between the body and mind. Pranayama is the art of controlling and expanding the breath to enhance both physical and mental well-being. In this course, you'll learn a variety of breathing techniques such as Nadi Shodhana, Kapalabhati, Ujjayi, Bhastrika, and more. You will learn how conscious breathwork can help you release tension, cultivate energy, and achieve mental clarity. Yoga Anatomy Understanding the physical body and how it functions is essential for safe and effective practice. This module explores how muscles, joints, and bones work together to support movement. You’ll gain knowledge of how to align and adjust your students’ bodies for safety and effectiveness, ensuring they avoid injury. Additionally, you’ll learn how to tailor your teaching to accommodate individual body types and limitations. Meditation Meditation is a core aspect of yoga, often regarded as the path to deep spiritual insight. This module will teach you how to meditate effectively, guiding you into deeper states of awareness and stillness. Through meditation, you’ll unlock the inner wisdom that resides within, helping you discover profound peace and happiness. It’s not just about sitting still—it’s about entering into the realm of awareness where you can transform your mind and spirit. Ayurveda Ayurveda, the ancient system of natural healing, is a vital part of yoga. In this module, you’ll explore how Ayurveda uses food, herbs, and lifestyle practices to create balance in the body and mind. You’ll learn about the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), the five elements, and how to apply Ayurvedic principles to support a healthy, harmonious life. Ayurveda and yoga together create a powerful synergy that supports long-lasting health and wellness. Shatkarmas (Yogic Cleansing Techniques) The Shatkarmas are six yogic purification techniques that cleanse the body and prepare it for deeper spiritual practices. These include Neti (nasal cleansing), Kapalabhati (sinus cleansing), Nauli (abdominal massage), Dhauti (internal cleansing), Basti (yogic enema), and Trataka (concentrated gazing). These practices are designed to purify the body, clear blockages, and help balance the doshas (body energies), making them an essential part of your daily routine.
